Commentary:

Jesus was, is, and forever will be God. He was the model of what He spoke in the
word, that if you think you are someone and
somebody, you are a deceving yourself. Jesus was a big somebody. He was, is, and forever will be God. However, He allowed Himself to come to earth to be our perfect model and perfect and final sacrifice, so we can live with Him and Abba Father for eternity. If we choose to accept His gift by faith, of course.
Jesus came to earth, saw, and behaved  with unconditional love and devotion in His heart, mind, body, and soul, as a servant and child
of our Father God.  All the while being fully man, but fully God, Jesus humbled Himself and was
obedient to the calling Father God purposed Him to do. His purpose?: To die for all
humanity, past, present, and future, so we could live spiritually. He is the gospel message, the good news!
He was completely obedient, even dying on the cross. This Son of Man and Son of God could have commanded angels to rescue Him, but He didn't. He committed Himself to what He was told to do.
Jesus came from heaven to earth, which was a major descension from heaven. He also went
into Sheol, after death. (otherwise known as hell/Hades/Abraham's Bosom) to declare
victory over death, and His Lordship to those in Hades.
Please take the time to look into this yourself. I found and lingered on two sites about this very scripture. I stand with their theology, that Jesus did indeed preach the truth to all there, and that He closed down the peaceful side of Hades, where those who were faithful to God, and loved God
dwelled.
They were waiting on the promise of our Messiah and theirs, King Jesus our God and Savior.
I believe they are all in the presence of our Daddy God and our wonderful blessed Savior
in paradise, heaven.
We are the ones waiting on our Daddy God to call all of us home in the rapture and resurrection of the church, at the end of the church age. I can't wait until that day.
